DESIGNING TRANSFORMATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES

DESIGNING TRANSFORMATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES

A Guide to Transformative Mindset Instructional Design (TMID)

About this keynote presentation

Overview

What if instructional design focused not only on what learners know, but also on who they become?

Designing Transformative Learning Experiences introduces Transformative Mindset Instructional Design (TMID), a research-based framework developed to support meaningful learning, behavioral change, and personal growth through intentional instructional design.

Drawing from doctoral research, instructional design practice, and applications across higher education, workforce development, and nonprofit leadership, this keynote explores how educators and designers can move beyond information delivery and create experiences that inspire reflection, engagement, and transformation.

Participants leave with practical strategies for designing learning environments that remain effective, accessible, and deeply human.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the principles and foundations of the TMID framework.
  • Explore the difference between transactional and transformational learning experiences.
